Browser storage
Saved events and cached weather forecasts use your browser’s local storage. Saved events stay on that device and are not an account or a mailing-list subscription. Use “Clear saved events” on the calendar to remove favorites.
Location and ZIP search
Optional device location is used in the browser to estimate distances to event towns. It is not saved by our event feature or sent to a geocoding provider. U.S. ZIP searches use a public GeoNames dataset hosted with this site. Distances are approximate and are not driving directions.
External requests and links
Weather forecasts are requested from MET Norway. Product photographs load from Shopify’s content network. These providers receive normal connection information when your browser requests their content. External ticket, social, and source links follow the destination’s own policies.
Hosting
The hosting provider may process normal access and security information to deliver the website. This site does not currently install an audience analytics or advertising tracking script.
Email and shopping
Newsletter signup takes place on our Shopify store. The form sends your email address and newsletter consent to Shopify, which manages our subscriber list and email campaigns. Subscribing includes The Thursday Post and occasional Post Shop updates. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email. A story pitch or event submission does not subscribe you to marketing.
The shopping bag stores product selections in your browser. Checkout takes place securely through Shopify, which processes order, shipping, and payment information under the store’s shop privacy policy. We do not collect card details on this website.
